Kurt Steiner is Rudy's older brother and the oldest child in the Steiner family.

Kurt’s appearance was never directly stated in the book, but he most likely looked like his brother- blue eyes and blonde hair.
Biography[]
Kurt was not a very important character in The Book Thief, and we didn’t get to see a lot of him. What we do know, is that he had four sisters, Bettina, Karin, Annemarie, and Emma.
